Dark, airy vocals and oozing horn arrangements pepper the singer\u2019s funky style; \u201cPretty Boy\u201d is acoustic yet soulful, with a tinge of sarcasm, while the single \u201cShell-Shock Girl\u201d \u2013 which has since been remixed for radio \u2013 is a plea for world peace (hence the title) highlighted by emotive vocalizing, a bit of friendly singalong that works as a call to arms, all backed by a dancehall interlude courtesy of rapper\/producer Stand Out Selector and spunky, boozy guitar riffs. Sax \u2018n\u2019 roll flavors \u201cSlap\u201d and \u201cSkippin\u2019 Class,\u201d a cooing anthem about a homeless bohemian woman who takes Ecstasy and goes barefoot.
